FORT MYERS: Hurricane Danielle is in the middle of the Atlantic moving west-northwestward near 18 mph, but is expected to slow down and take a turn to the northwest over the next couple of days.
After some weakening yesterday, Danielle is now back to Category 1 hurricane strength with little change in that strength expected Wednesday and some strengthening possible Thursday.
There is another area of low pressure that we are tracking called 96L right now, located on the other side of the Atlantic.
There is a large area of cloudiness and showers associated with it.
The environmental conditions remain conducive for the formation of a tropical depression within the next couple of days.
